Lisa Olivia Munn is a born and raised in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and also has Chinese roots, but her father Winston Barrett Munn comes from an American family. Olivia's parents divorced when she was just two years old and she was raised by her mother and stepfather, a member of the United States Air Force. Although the family was spread across the country, her primary home was Tokyo, Japan. It was where she appeared in theatre productions during this period and was a actress for Japanese industry. Olivia was able to move into Los Angeles when her family eventually returned in her home in the United States to follow her aspirations of becoming an actress. Then, after some tiny roles on television shows featuring Hawaii lense (such like Beyond the Break), she was able to land the role of Mily Acuna. She was also offered the job of Rob Schneider's receptionist for Big Stan. She hosts G4's podcasts "The Daily Nut" along with "Formula D". Surfing is her passion, and she practices it since the TV series Beyond the Break (2006). Black belts are hers in taekwondo. She was only two when her mother married again, but this time with an US Air Force member. Her family was primarily from Tokyo, Japan where her stepfather worked. She completed her journalism studies at the University of Oklahoma and also studied Japanese drama, dramatic arts, and drama.
