Lita Rossana Ford, also called Lita Ford is an American musician, singer and guitarist born in Britain. She played lead guitar as a member of The Runaways, a hard-rock group comprised of girls in late 1970s. Their punk rock music and rebellious lyrics got them noticed by the rock community. While the group did not make much progress in America but they enjoyed huge popularity overseas. It was particularly true in Japan. Ford started a metal solo career when the group was disbanded in 1979. Her first solo release was 'Dancin' on the Edge which was followed by her record Out for Blood. Ford did not achieve anything with either of them and remained out of the realm of rock for around a decade. In 1988, she returned to the world of music with an amazing album titled "Lita. Kiss Me Deadly was a huge hit as was the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. But her fame was only short-lived and she vanished in the world of music for many years. Re-emerging with releases of "Black" in 1995 as well as "Wicked Wonderland" nearly 15 years following. 2016 saw the release of her latest album of studio work "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
