Ina-Garten
Ina Gardner is the author of many well-known American cooking books. Ina also hosts Barefoot Contessa on Food Network. It has been running since 2002. Ina started writing Nuclear energy and policy documents in the White House. Although she found her job intellectually stimulating initially eventually she stopped her pursuit and decided to purchase a smaller specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. It took her 18 years to make the shop extremely successful before she sold the business. She then began to write the first of many cookbooks. There were many more cookbooks and magazine columns which followed. Her Food Network television program also began and rapidly gained popularity. In addition, she sells all kinds of cooking equipment, items and even containers. Ina is a self-taught cook that hasn't been to a cooking class, nor been in the kitchen. She is a simple cook and for her entertaining style. She is known for her simple recipes such as Skillet of Roasted Lemon Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese using Beef Bourguignon as well as Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
